These Schnorr conical locking washers have external grip enhancing the locking mechanism in a locking washer giving a preventative measure to secure fasteners. So, these locking washers must be used in-between the flat washer or component surface and the nut. These washers are self-colour so do not have any corrosion protection so adding a coating of paint when assembled to enhanced corrosion protection. These conical Schnorr locking washers can solve the problem when excessive vibration occurs. Always replace the locking washer after undoing the nut or bolt to provide the best reduction in the nut disengaging.
