M12 x 100mm Through Bolt Zinc White CR3 by MasonMate
Product Details
Through bolts are ideal in that the size of the component hole already drilled can be used to drill the concrete to slit in the through bolt. The beauty of this is that it can be inserted into the pre-drilled hole and as the nut is tightened it expands the through bolt into the walls of the drilled hole securing the component in place. The depth of the concrete needs to exceed the length of the through bolt and depending on the component it is securing down will determine the thickness and the length of the through bolt needed. Additional chemical anchor adhesive (available separately to order) can be inserted into the pre-drilled hole to provide a more secure fixing especially if there is a likely chance of movement stress. It is recommended that regular checks are taken place to ensure the through bolt fixing is still doing its job.
These are zinc white plated fasteners which is a preventative measure from corrosion. Avoid breaking into the zinc plating as this will cause faster corrosion if not covered with a corrosive protected material. Also bear in mind using different materials can cause fusing through corrosion especially in damp conditions when mixed with aluminium or stainless-steel materials.
More information is available from Central Fasteners regarding fastener details, but it's always worth checking with a manufacturer's specifications or drawings if an alternative size, tensile strength or types of fasteners are used.
