The extra-large headed galvanised felt nails also known as clout nails are suitable for fixing felt onto wooden roofs. Used for shed roof, garage roof or any outdoor space that will require the roof securing to the roof. It is recommended that a waterproof sealant is put between the felt and the wooden roof to prevent water ingress. Also, the nails are ideal for using when the felt is folded over the edges of the roof and used under the outer ledge. This way there is less risk of water seeping under the nails. Ideally use a nail at least every 100-125mm apart to prevent any wind getting under the felt.
